This blog is associated with chapter 7 and different family lives.  There are many different types of family’s.   The family types and styles have changed over the years.  There are many more children born to unmarried women these days.  It is not as scary to have a family without a man in it as it used to be. And there are many more divorces than years ago.  Women are standing up for their happiness. It is astonishing that 50% of marriages end in divorce these days.  There are different families with different social classes, sexualities, and race groups.  All families have their different ways to manage their lifestyles and their families.  Power is a big part of a family unit.  And how that power is used in the family is used is a struggle with some families.  Mothering is a big responsibility and joy in the family life.   There is a norm within society of what a mother is supposed to be like.  But in reality the norm is not really reality.  There are many different ways to be a mother.   Every women just has to find her own way.
